Lorraine Barry – Lorraine Barry Management Ltd

Lorraine manages bands including Dave Dobbyn, Bic Runga, LAMitchell and Dukes. She began her career as a journalist before moving to Virgin records for 16 years. She worked on release planning, marketing and publicity for hundreds of artists as Director of International marketing in the Uk.

Tim Youngson - Manager and Band Member - Steriogram

Tim Youngson started his musical career in 1999 with New Zealand band Steriogram. This saw him travel the world, sign to capitol in the US, be nominated for a Grammy and Mtv awards and work with some of the worlds biggest industry professionals.
11 years on Tim has started his own music management company "Saiko Management" and now is applying his knowledge and contacts to help kiwi acts reach for their dreams. He currently has three acts on his books Kingston, Ruby Frost and Mt Eden Dub Step.

Ashley Page – Manager and Radio Plugger

Ashley started life in music 15 years ago in promotions at UK label Castle Communications looking after a variety of artists such as Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Fleetwood Mac, YES, and Steve Earle, before moving as International Promotions Manager to Mushroom / Infectious Records in the UK.Whilst at Mushroom/Infectious Ashley oversaw the Worldwide PR campaigns for a wide variety of artists from Garbage, Ash, Deni Hines, and Peter Andre.
In 2000 Ashley moved to New Zealand where he took up the A&R and Label Management post at Festival Mushroom Records and Flying Nun Records- signing the Mint Chicks in 2003. Ashley was Head of A&R and Australasian Marketing Manager at Warner Music from 2005-2008 signing bands from Atlas to Midnight Youth as well as A&R'ing albums by the feelers & Shihad.
Ashley Page left Warner late 2008, and now owns and runs Page One Management where he manages Kids of 88, Luger Boa and Black River Drive. The company also operates a radio & TV servicing department.

Paul McKessar - CRS Managment

Paul is a partner in CRS Management where his roster includes Brooke Fraser, Breaks Co-op, Dimmer, Collapsing Cities, Lydia Cole and the Naked & Famous. Paul spent a decade working at indie label Flying Nun and four years at Mushroom in the UK so has knowledge and experience to share about bands, labels, deals and international markets.

Dylan Pellett - IMNZ

Dylan has vast experience in a range of areas across the NZ Music Industry, including working for Flying Nun and Festival Mushroom Records and managing the NZ office for Level Two Music, a music placement, licensing and music supervision company which also has offices in Sydney and Melbourne.
Some of the music placements by Dylan include: Chris Knox Not Given Lightly - Vogels Bread, Evermore Lights Surrounding You - TV One, Woody Guthrie Car Car - Toyota Corolla, Steriogram Just Like You - Coke Zero. It is a chance to gain insight into an area which is now an essential part of any musicians career.

James Southgate - Manager The Earlybirds

James, ex Managing Director of Warner Music NZ has had 25 years of industry experience primarily in Australia and NZ. He started his career in sales with Festival Records and then joined EMI Music Australia based in Sydney 1986 -1990.James then joined EMI NZ as National Sales Manager.

As Managing Director of Warner Music 1994  2004 he was responsible for all facets of running a multi national company. He signed and developed the Feelers, Fur Patrol, Shihad, Anika Moa and
Evermore. James has a Sales, Marketing and Promotions skill base. James is now focused on the management of The Earlybirds.

Carla Potter – Independant Tour Manager

Carlas career started in the music industry 20 years ago as a drummer, releasing albums and touring at an early age.
From then  working in all aspects of the industry from Management, Event management, Label Manager (Warner Music), Promotions ( EMI Music) Booker/Promoter (Frontier Touring and Eccles Entertainment), Publicity and Tour Management (International and Domestic).
Carla formed The Brat Agency in 2008  primarily a management company whos roster includes: Jaz Coleman, Annie Crummer, Noxshi and Franko Heke  they also specialize in consultation and artist development.

Matt McLeod – Triple M Management - Wellington

Matt McLeod began his music management career in 2001 and is a co-owner of Wellington-based artist management company 'Triple M Management'. His roster includes some of New Zealand's biggest artists - The Black Seeds, The Phoenix Foundation & Connan Mockasin (NZ).

Under Matts management, over the past 10 years his bands have collectively released 2 x double-platinum, 1 x platinum, and 4 x gold selling albums in New Zealand.

Matt has also been the driving force behind each of his bands numerous campaigns overseas, including the successful entry of The Black Seeds into, first the European, and now the North American market, where they now regularly perform at some of the worlds largest music festivals.

Matt has significant experience in all aspects of the music management industry and is now available for mentoring.

Wairere Iti – Booking And Touring Strategies

Wairere Iti  Has been involved in New Zealand Music for over 20 years. As Co-founder of Auckland based booking agency Grafiti Entertainment he has represented: Batucada Sound Machine, Tahuna Breaks, Sons of Zion, Sweet and Irie, Scribe and Savage. He has toured extensively throughout Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand and currently works as a tour manager for Six60 and on occasion I am Giant, Maisey Rika and Tama Waipara. Wairere has considerable experience in domestic and International bookings, what programmers are looking for and what you can do to improve your chances of selection. He has great tips on Tour Managing and what that means.

Rebecca Caughey – Funktion Music - Wellington

Rebecca Caughey started her own company Funktion Music at the age of 20. She now manages Shapeshifter and Ladi6 and works as a freelance publicist working with artists such as Bic Runga, Brooke Fraser and Nathan Haines. She has been awarded best manager of an independent artist for two years and was inducted into the Young Enterprise Hall of Talent for Young Entrepreneurs.

Ingrid Round – Dirty Management

Ingrid has had immense success with the management of PNC, David Dallas, Opensouls, Tiki, Concorde Dawn, State Of Mind. Ingrid has also been a past winner of Regional Manager of the Year in the MMF Music Managers Awards.

Jackie Dennis – Publishing & Licensing

Jackie started in music publishing in Melbourne in the early 1980’s.

After starting in administration she moved to A&R working for many years identifying and signing songwriters in Australia and New Zealand. She has also worked as a music supervisor for feature films and television series and as a producer for film and television. Jackie is the newest member of the MMF Mentoring team so look out in upcoming months for seminars and one on one mentring on publishing & licensing.
