An Audience with Mick Glossop - Feedback

Written by

UK producer and engineer Mick Glossop certainly impressed 45 members of the MMF,APRA and IMNZ with his tales of working for over 30 years with artists like Van Morrison, Frank Zappa and John Lydon. An informal night of questioning from the audience gave Mick a chance to share his insights into Recording Techniques, Production values and his impression of New Zealand Music on his 2 week stay.

Feedback:
"Another quality evening! Mick gave a really informative and useful insite into how engineering has changed over the years and the importance of Production. Mick also provided useful information that you can actually apply - great seminar and good turn out."- Darryl Rose, Nurock Media

"The Seminar with Mick was great. I enjoyed his informal approach. He's worked with some of my favourite artists and it was good to be able to ask him first hand about working with John Lydon (Sex Pistols/Public Image Ltd).
At the end we got the chance to have a chat, and although I'm usually not into getting people to sign things, I couldn't say no to the opportunity for him to sign my copy of the legendary Frank Zappa's 'Joe's Garage' record.
It was another chance for MMF members to pick the brains of a prolific but more importantly very experienced person in the industry. Im just gutted I forgot to ask him about working with Tangerine Dream.. Cheers Mick! "
