KOLAB and Eddie Numbers (Jazz) Xmas News

MMF member Jazz had her KOLAB boys playing at Highlife, rocking the Hip Hop stage & warming things up before the mighty Pete Rock came on stage.

After 8 years of KOLAB, this was the final gig for the band with 2 of their original members, James Brown (JB, producer & DJ) and Scott Bibby (Scotty B, percussion & vocals).

Lucy Cioffi had an exciting time over xmas as she got to the finals of syndicate nz singer - songwriter competition.

This competitiion took place at The Crib Bar on Ponsonby Road in Auckland and she passed 3 heats to get to the final.
Lucy has been very busy writing more material and is planning on releasing an EP in the next year. Lucy will starts her first recording next month with Ben King as producer.

The results for the year are in and MMF artists feature heavily in the top 20.

It's been a massive year for Six60 (Teresa Patterson) who take out the Top Selling New Zealand Single and Artist and come in 6th overall under Adele, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga.

Avalanche City going Gold in Australia

The song that you love love love to hate because you couldn't help but sing the chorus at the top of your lungs while donning your wannabe David Baxter beard is set to devastate Australia.

Avalanche City has gone Gold in Australia, the single Love Love Love has hit gold in Australia and so far the album has peaked at #26 on the iTunes chart. The band are announcing their own headline tour for April in Australia. They just played at the Homebake Festival in Sydney on 3rd Dec to an amazing response.

The Naked And Famous‘ track “Young Blood” finally made it’s way into the top spot this week on the KROQ most-played list, beating out Bushs “The Sound Of Winter.” The Foo Fighters‘ “Rope” and the Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ “The Adventures Of Raindance Maggie” both jumped several positions this week as well.

Incubus‘ “Adolescents” and The Black Keys “Lonely Boy” both fell a few spots out of the top 10, while Blink-182‘s “Up All Night” climbed from #22 to #15 and “After Midnight” from #9 to #5.

Six60 (Teresa Patterson) Album Goes Platinum

The Six60 boys have had some great news while on tour in Aussie. Their self titled debut album has gone platinum in New Zealand.

It's probably no wonder at all then that Six60 played to sold out shows in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne on the first leg of their Australian tour and look set to do the same in Coolangatta and Brisbane this weekend before returning home.

Congratulations !!!
