David will cover all contracts that a manager and a band needs:
1.       Band contracts – the contract between band members. Why this is necessary to have.
2.       Management contracts – between the band and their manager
3.       Record company contracts – the different types, what parts of these that are negotiable.
4.       Live contracts – the contract between the band and venues. what elements are absolutely necessary
5.       Publishing contracts – the different types, what parts of these that are negotiable
 
David McLaughlin is the Principal of the Auckland based boutique law firm McLaughlin Law. David specialises in legal issues as they relate to the music industry and acts for a wide range of participants in the music industry both within New Zealand and internationally. David’s clients include amongst others Hollie Smith, Nesian Mystik, Adeaze, 4 Corners and Tiki from Salmonella Dub.
