In conjunction with UK MMF we will be running an ONLINE SEMINAR on Wed 28 April at 8PM.
Members have the opportunity, via the internet and with a login to the members chat section of our website, to chat with a IMMF industry specialist in the UK. You ask your questions (via typing) and our guest answers them. Please see below a bio on our guest for this month.
HOW THE ONLINE SEMINAR WORKS:
Log on to the website with your normal password just before 8pm on the day
Click on ‘MMF Chatroom’
Click on the relevant discussion and then type in your questions.
Eric Nielsen will be on line also from the UK and will type his replies, all in real time. It is that easy!
This is a great chance for all our members to learn about the UK market from someone who has worked in the UK for a very long time.Erik Nielsen emigrated from the USA to the UK to launch Marillion’s first official website and online store in late 1997, later taking on the role of business manager for their ‘cottage empire’. After shaking off record company shackles in 2000 with the now much-copied and popular fan-funded pre-order concept, Marillion’s business has grown from a simple website into its own mini-industry, which includes private recording studios and offices, the online music and merchandise store Racket Records, indie label Intact Records – the Direct-to-Consumer and 360-Degree business models 10 years before they were buzzwords.
Branching out in 2008, his Wingnut Music consultancy – which counts Elton John’s Twenty First Artists management company and leading digital analysts Music Ally amongst his clients – works with artists and organisations on creative marketing and digital strategies, artist management, and keeping a step ahead of the changing music industry. If you are in the wrong, the policy will either pay the cost of putting the mistake right, or pay compensation on your behalf u p to a limit of $50,000.
