Lorraine Barry began managing Dave Dobbyn in 2004 and her roster includes Terrible Sons, nomad and Mark Vanilau. She is a keen mentor of young artists setting out on their careers.
She began her career as a journalist, moving from Northern Ireland to London to work for Virgin Records for 16 years. Prior to emigrating to New Zealand she was Director of International Marketing for Virgin Music Group, helping shape the global careers of artists including Massive Attack, Ice T, Placebo, The Verve, John Lee Hooker, Neneh Cherry, Chemical Brothers and the phenomenon that was the 32-million selling Spice Girls. In 1999 she won the Special Achievement Award at the UK music industry’s Women of the Year Awards.
