Nicky Harrop

Nicky's 20-year entertainment industry career has seen her hone her skills across multiple areas. Starting with record company BMG in 1996, she progressed through roles in publicity, label management and marketing, holding the position of Marketing & Label Director for Sony Music New Zealand from 2010.

Nicky has helped shape the success of many local and international artists, creating campaigns for Stan Walker, Beyonce, Foo Fighters, David Bowie, One Direction, Daft Punk and more. She has also secured a number of sponsorship and alignment deals, collaborating with brands including Spotify, Telecom (Spark), Pepsi, Hallensteins and Tip Top.

Nicky provides content and social media strategy for websites NZ On Screen and AudioCulture, and creates digital marketing campaigns for a number of entertainment- based clients. She is currently consulting to Massey University’s College of Creative Arts, creating the Music Industry content for their new Bachelor of Commercial Music degree.
