SUPER FREQ set to launch on FRIDAY, MAY 25!
For over 40 years, RDU98.5FM has constantly been ahead of the curve. Being the first platform to support endless volumes of kiwi musicians, Christchurch’s only alternative station certainly has a lot of history to be proud of. But what they’re announcing today…is all about ensuring their future.
STARTING AT 7 PM on FRIDAY, MAY 25 and running for a full 24 HOURS, SUPER FREQ will be a LIVE-TO-AIR calling of the guard to rally support for our favourite broadcaster. A guided tour of RDU’s current musical community, featuring a line-up of local bands including: THE LAZY EYES / WURLD SERIES / HEADLAND / BRIAN TAMAKI AND THE KOOL AID KIDS / REALITY CHANT / CONTACT ROC / RUBIX / DOG POWER / KAMANDI / HAWAIIAN MAIDEN / WILTON / COWBOY MACHINE / SICK CYCLE / SALAD BOYS / GETSET / BRASSIC / BILL DIREEN / BEST BETS / PYLONZ / DILLISTRATE / LAURA LEE LOVELY / HAUSWERK
SUPER FREQ is going to be the independent radio event of the year. But not only will SUPER FREQ be coloured by the amazing music, but also a variety of antics being performed over the 24 hours – all streaming live! Anyone who cares about alternative music, maintaining a platform for our local musicians and just having a flat out, balls to the wall good time should tune in, show up in person or…FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD IN MUSIC - pledge some cold hard cash!
