ALT-BLUES ARTISTS SOLOMON COLE TO PERFORM IN FRANCE

With the release of their 2016 debut album 'Bruises' receiving rave reviews ( one of the years best releases by Mike Alexander Sunday Times) and reaching No. 19 on the NZ Local album charts, and number 11 on the Independent NZ Music Albums, and nominated for best debut album in 2016 for The Taite Music Prize, Kiwi alt-blues quartet The Solomon Cole Band gathered a blues rock'n'roll momentum. Touring to support acts such as Martha Davis & The Motels, The Animals (UK), My Baby (Europe), The Supersuckers (US) the band developed a solid foundation of national live performances.

These days however, the quartet are intent on creating a more honed and organic, haunting blues-based sound that pivots on the songwriting partnership of French/Kiwi vocalist Ely Xir and Solomon Cole. A The duo themselves are releasing their own alt-blues record We Come To Do The Devils Work, and are doing some one off select dates in France in July/August 2019 to test out songs and material. Vocalist Ely Xir is from the city of Bordeaux where they plan to base themselves.

The Solomon Cole Band recently released a small taster called "Pocket Of Stones" available on all digital formats The band will exist between NZ shores and European dates from July onwards before Solomon Cole & Ely Xir return to NZ to finish the bands second album entitled A Little South Of Heaven.
