Lucy Macrae
Lucy Macrae has held multiple roles in Tāmaki Makaurau’s music scene for over two decades. She is the owner and booker of the iconic music venues Whammy Bar, Double Whammy and Whammy Public Bar. Alongside her sister, she runs the punk promotion company Chicks That Scream- promoting and touring international artists throughout New Zealand. As a musician, she plays bass in the local punk band Dick Move. Lucy is also the Promotions and Publicity Manager at The Label, where she amplifies the voices of artists and festivals, helping them connect with wider audiences. Most recently, Lucy was appointed Chair of Independent Music Venues Aotearoa, where she leads advocacy efforts to support and sustain independent venues across Aotearoa.

Rachel Ashby is the Capabilities Programmes Coordinator at the New Zealand Music Commission. Formerly presenter of the 95bFM Breakfast Show, she now hosts the music podcast In The Pits from Sports Team productions, and writes the weekly music column Autoplay for Sunday Magazine.
Deva Mahal
Born with the blues in her blood, Deva Mahal has forged a rare blend of masterful songwriting, breathtaking vocal talent, and soulful production. Raised in Kaua’i, Hawai’i and discovering her voice there before furthering her music education in New Zealand, Deva solidified her artistic vision before making her mark in New York City. A four-time finalist for the APRA Silver Scroll and a 2019 A2IM Indie Award nominee, Deva also contributed to Ledisi’s Grammy-winning album THE WILD CARD.

Duncan Greive is an editor and former music journalist who has gone on to found multiple businesses, including The Spinoff and the creative agency Daylight. He hosts The Fold podcast, which takes a broad view of media in Aotearoa and around the world, but joins us at the NZMM Summit to discuss a new technology business which aims to put albums back at the heart of music in digital spheres, while meaningfully connecting artists with their biggest fans.

Mikeyy
Mikeyy is a 23 year old dance music rising star. As a multi-faceted vocalist and producer, his fun loving yet meaningful and inspired genre diverse sound has seen him play sets to crowds upwards of 4000 at Rhythm and Vines, frequent the biggest festivals in Australasia and grace arena stages with a fresh take on dance music. With his own production reaching the top 20 charts in NZ and collaborations with global artists such as Captain Bass, Lee Mvtthews and Rossi as well as releases on international labels such as Nightmode, Pilot Recordings (UKF) and more, he shows no signs of stopping with releases imminent.
