JOOST LANGEVELD

Joost Langeveld is co-director of Bigpop, an umbrella company dedicated to helping creatives realise their artistic ambitions and build sustainable careers. Bigpop provides an interconnected ecosystem spanning A&R, music publishing, label services, and music production, alongside a network of professional recording studios and post-production facilities.

Beyond his Bigpop role, Joost contributes actively to Aotearoa’s wider music ecosystem, helping foster alignment between different facets of the music industry. His current work with MMF Aotearoa includes initiatives to strengthen pathways for local artists (and their management teams) — creating opportunities for upskilling, live performance development, and long-term collaborations and partnerships that elevate New Zealand talent on global stages.

Joost’s history in music is as diverse as it is deep, spanning roles as musician, composer, producer, A&R, collaborator, and music industry participant. Across these roles, he continues to champion creative growth, cross-sector collaboration, and a more connected, engaged and future-facing music community.
