Lepani's “Never Meet Your Dreams” is a Sonic Collision of Ambition and Emotion

UK-based alt-pop artist Lepani’s newest single “Never Meet Your Dreams” (releasing 7th November) is a cinematic exploration of ambition and identity - capturing the bittersweet moment of reaching the dream you’ve chased your whole life — only to discover it isn’t what you imagined.

Co-written and co-produced with London-based Liam Geddes (multi-platinum, #1 Billboard songwriter) and George Gleeson, the track combines world-class production with Lepani’s signature emotional storytelling. Sonically inspired by the energetic, cinematic landscapes of Jon Bellion, the song moves from a tender, vulnerable pre-chorus into a soaring, explosive drop — a blend of heartfelt lyrics and dynamic alt-pop energy.

Supported by NZ On Air, “Never Meet Your Dreams” will be accompanied by a music video and an animated visualiser inspired by iconic anime scenes, further bringing Lepani’s cinematic vision to life.
