Ciaran McMeeken (Tony Cowper) is proud to release the video for his brand new single That Feeling.
Channelling the easy romanticism of the song, the video captures everyday little moments of magic that come with being comfortable with a partner, and the casual intimacy of simply spending time together. Director Ben Chesters was charged with translating the themes of the song to the video, and has perfectly showcased not only the exhilaration one feels when both first falling in love, but the joy when that feeling is still there years later.
Shot documentary style, the video is a snapshot into the lives of four real-life couples, providing a quick glimpse into their genuine personal love in ordinary settings. Showing how the emotion of love has no real definition aside from how two people feel about each other, the video embodies the simplicity and beauty of being in love.
That Feeling was co-written during the first APRA Songhubs program in 2016, with global songwriting superstar MoZella (Charlie Puth, Ellie Goulding, Miley Cyrus, One Direction) who brought a glossy-pop formula to the tune, enhancing Ciaran’s raw vocals to form a song that is all about passion.

Teeks’ (Cilla Ruha) highly-anticipated debut EP, THE GRAPEFRUIT SKIES, is out today.
Recorded both in New York and in New Zealand, the EP makes a powerful statement that boldly introduces a young artist, who is unequivocally one of Aotearoa’s next great talents.
Steeped in old-school soul and yet shimmering with moments that capture Teeks’ strength of youth, THE GRAPEFRUIT SKIES will stop you in your tracks. From the EP’s velvety smooth lead single ‘If Only’ (produced by Jeremy Most) to the simmering soulful ‘Wash Over Me’, this is a debut that’s already got the critics talking.
“The Grapefruit Skies is one of the most original pieces of work a male New Zealand artist working within the genre of soul has produced”
- Mike Alexander, Sunday Star Times
‘If Only’ (produced by Jeremy Most), recently peaked at #1 on the New Zealand Viral Chart on Spotify. And #1 on the R&B/Soul Chart on iTunes NZ.
The video, shot and directed by the award-winning Shae Sterling, has already clocked up an impressive 20,000 views on YouTube.
“Teeks has the kind of voice people whisper about. When you’re lucky enough to hear him sing, your jaw will drop a little. Or your eyes will widen and you’ll say something about shivers under your breath, or point at the tiny goosebumps forming on your forearms”

With only one week to go until multi-Grammy nominated pop-rock trio HANSON come to New Zealand for their Middle Of Everywhere World Tour, Christchurch musicians nomad (Lorraine Barry) are announced to open the show.
nomad made their musical mark on the NZ charts with the undeniably catchy ‘Oh My My’, and have been winning over unsuspecting audiences show by show with their heady harmonies and pop hooks. Aasha Mallard, Will McGillivray and Cullen Kiesanowski formed the band four years ago and their differing musical tastes collide to shape their alt-pop sound – no doubt their performance will be a perfect complement to support HANSON’s hit-laden set.
In addition to HANSON’s 25th Anniversary, 2017 is the 20th Anniversary of the band’s debut release Middle Of Nowhere, led by the iconic global smash hit 'Mmmbop'. New Zealand music lovers will be treated to feature performances of the group’s best-known material alongside fan favourites spanning their extensive catalogue.
Having just started their Australian tour, reviews for HANSON’s shows have been living up to the promise of this being one of the biggest and best 25th Anniversary celebratory shows ever:
Hanson finish off their two-hour killer set with ‘Lost Without Each Other’ after literally smashing out 27 hits, with no sign of stopping after 25 years in the business. – The Music
Two decades on, nothing much has changed. Thebby Theatre was filled with screaming hardcore Hanson fans in their band tees, singing along to every word, of every song as loudly as they could. – The Advertiser
New Zealand fans best prepare for an evening of crowd-pleasing hit after hit sing-a-longs - this will be a night to remember!

Delivering more energy and noise than two men legally should, the bombastic single perfectly showcases the Hobos driving rock and roll sound, adding a bucket of sass and a pinch of groove to the mix. Says guitarist/singer Alex Elvis of the instrumentation, “You couldn't get more cowbell if you cloned 30 copies of Will Ferrell, chucked them in a field full of Dutch dairy cows, and made it rain fidget spinners.”
Suburban Living is the third single release from Skinny Hobos, whose April 2016 debut single ‘The Merchant of Tirau’ peaked at #1 on the NZ iTunes Rock chart and jumped in at #150 on The Rock’s listener voted 1500 Countdown – in between entries from Alice Cooper and Led Zeppelin. Following single ‘Jokers and Fools’ debuted at #4 on the iTunes Rock charts and again saw support from The Rock who swiftly added the track to their celebrated Soundcheck rotate.
Skinny Hobos will again be delivering their explosive live set straight to the main centers of NZ this July, in support of the Suburban Living release. Catch them with headliners Decades along with Bakers Eddy and Dead Favours at these locations.

Modern Maori Quartet (Sums Selvarajan & Yee Yang Lee) are proud to announce that their first ever original single, SHINE, is now available worldwide on iTunes or your favourite music/streaming platform.
Shine is a song that celebrates children.
It is a father’s message to his child, encouraging her to dream big and pursue any path her heart desires.
This song is for “all the kids in the world” and reminds them that they can achieve whatever they set their minds to, so long as they have the support and love of their parents and wider family.
Shine has a strong, comfortable feel that is clear and joyful, which we believe represents us truthfully.
It feels right that this song should be our first voice in the world.
The boys are also hitting the road again, so go check them out live in QUEENSLAND and AUCKLAND. They will be bringing the garage party to Brisbane (for the Queensland Cabaret Festival) and Yeppoon, and to parts of Auckland we don't normally get to play at as part of Auckland Council's Matariki on the Move: Waiataprogramme.
