CIARAN MCMEEKEN RELEASES VIDEO FOR THAT FEELING

Ciaran McMeeken (Tony Cowper) is proud to release the video for his brand new single That Feeling.

Channelling the easy romanticism of the song, the video captures everyday little moments of magic that come with being comfortable with a partner, and the casual intimacy of simply spending time together.  Director Ben Chesters was charged with translating the themes of the song to the video, and has perfectly showcased not only the exhilaration one feels when both first falling in love, but the joy when that feeling is still there years later.

Shot documentary style, the video is a snapshot into the lives of four real-life couples, providing a quick glimpse into their genuine personal love in ordinary settings.  Showing how the emotion of love has no real definition aside from how two people feel about each other, the video embodies the simplicity and beauty of being in love.

That Feeling was co-written during the first APRA Songhubs program in 2016, with global songwriting superstar MoZella (Charlie Puth, Ellie Goulding, Miley Cyrus, One Direction) who brought a glossy-pop formula to the tune, enhancing Ciaran’s raw vocals to form a song that is all about passion.

NOMAD TO OPEN FOR U.S. POP ROCK TRIO HANSON

With only one week to go until multi-Grammy nominated pop-rock trio HANSON come to New Zealand for their Middle Of Everywhere World Tour, Christchurch musicians nomad (Lorraine Barry) are announced to open the show.

nomad made their musical mark on the NZ charts with the undeniably catchy ‘Oh My My’, and have been winning over unsuspecting audiences show by show with their heady harmonies and pop hooks. Aasha Mallard, Will McGillivray and Cullen Kiesanowski formed the band four years ago and their differing musical tastes collide to shape their alt-pop sound – no doubt their performance will be a perfect complement to support HANSON’s hit-laden set.

HANGAR 18 ANNOUNCE 20 DATE ASIA PACIFIC TOUR

New Zealand based rock band HANGAR 18 (Andrew Featherstone) have just released their new single IDKY which has already being added to radio playlists around the world. The band are touring the Asia Pacific Region to support the release of the single performing shows in New Zealand, Australia, Philippines, Hong Kong and China.

The single was written by HANGAR 18 with the collaboration of award winning, multi platinum selling recording artist JASON KERRISON who was best known as the front man & songwriter for OpShop & The Babysitters Circus. The song was recorded at Red Room Studios & Show Pony Studios in Auckland then mixed in Brisbane, Australia at Red Engine Studios by ARIA Award winning and Grammy nominee producer STEVE JAMES (Sex Pistols, Monty Python, Toyah, Phil Lynott, Screaming Jets, Weta, Rumjacks).

HANGAR 18 will embark on the IDKY ASIA PACIFIC TOUR from Mid-July – late November 2017. Starting with a National Tour of their home country, New Zealand from 14th July– 25th August at NZ’s best live music venues; followed by a concert support for American Multi-platinum selling, Rock Legends, EVERCLEAR at Auckland’s famed landmark venue, THE POWERSTATION on 1st October.

Following the AKL concert, HANGAR 18 will then open for EVERCLEAR in Australia, with shows at THE METRO, Sydney (03/10/17), THE GOV, Adelaide (04/10/17) & CROXTON BAND ROOM, Melbourne.

The 3rd leg of the tour sees the band RETURN TO ASIA, 20 years since their first Asia Tours in 1997. SKINNY HOBOS GET BACK TO SUBURBAN LIVING

Not even stopping for a cup of tea and a lie down after their 7 city North island tour and a 5 date guest band slot for the Smokefree Rockquest regional finals, Skinny Hobos (Sam Holdom) continue to push their gigantic 2-piece sound into NZ’s earholes with the release of brand new single 'Suburban Living,' which premieres June 22nd on The Rock Nights with Mike and is available everywhere Friday, June 23rd.

Delivering more energy and noise than two men legally should, the bombastic single perfectly showcases the Hobos driving rock and roll sound, adding a bucket of sass and a pinch of groove to the mix. Says guitarist/singer Alex Elvis of the instrumentation, “You couldn't get more cowbell if you cloned 30 copies of Will Ferrell, chucked them in a field full of Dutch dairy cows, and made it rain fidget spinners.”

Suburban Living is the third single release from Skinny Hobos, whose April 2016 debut single ‘The Merchant of Tirau’ peaked at #1 on the NZ iTunes Rock chart and jumped in at #150 on The Rock’s listener voted 1500 Countdown – in between entries from Alice Cooper and Led Zeppelin. Following single ‘Jokers and Fools’ debuted at #4 on the iTunes Rock charts and again saw support from The Rock who swiftly added the track to their celebrated Soundcheck rotate.

Hollie Smith, one of New Zealand’s most loved singer-songwriters, will be opening for Alison Moyet on her New Zealand tour this October.
