FEBRUARY MEMBERS ONLY ONLINE SESSION: PLANNING FOR THE YEAR AHEAD

Join MMF Aotearoa for our first members only online seminar of 2026, focused on practical ways to plan effectively for the year ahead.

This session brings together insights from Diaz Grimm, Mikeyy and Myshaan, with Mikee Carpinter (Georgia Lines) moderating. Together they’ll share how they approach goal setting, map out key milestones, avoid the usual planning traps, and stay flexible when priorities shift.

Whether you’re lining up releases, tours, funding applications, or promo campaigns, you’ll come away with framework ideas and real world tips you can put to work straight away.

Mikeyy is a 23 year old dance music rising star. As a multi-faceted vocalist and producer, his fun loving yet meaningful and inspired genre diverse sound has seen him play sets to crowds upwards of 4000 at Rhythm and Vines, frequent the biggest festivals in Australasia and grace arena stages with a fresh take on dance music. With his own production reaching the top 20 charts in NZ and collaborations with global artists such as Captain Bass, Lee Mvtthews and Rossi as well as releases on international labels such as Nightmode, Pilot Recordings (UKF) and more, he shows no signs of stopping with releases imminent.

Myshaan Komene (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāpuhi, Tainui), known as Myshaan, is a Kirikiriroa Hamilton based independent soul artist. With 95 plus collective weeks in the Official Top 20 Aotearoa Singles chart across three singles, he’s built a track record for music that connects and lasts. He broke through internationally with 2023’s ‘Sway’, then grew momentum in 2024 when ‘Carry My Heart’ went viral on TikTok across Pacific communities. After studying in Hawai‘i, Myshaan deepened his Pacific soul sound and vision. Raised in the LDS Church, he writes uplifting, heartfelt songs, and is committed to creating pathways for rangatahi.

Since 2012, Diaz Grimm has helped push Aotearoa hip hop into new territory, known for backing bold ideas and staying ahead of the curve. His debut album Osiris (2015) topped NZ iTunes hip hop charts, reached the Official Top 20, and earned a NZ Music Awards nomination for Best Urban/Hip-Hop Album. He toured with Six60 and became the first unsigned Kiwi artist invited to play SXSW. Diaz has worked with Grammy winning producer Mike Elizondo on ‘Foreigners’ and shared stages with artists including Mac Miller and Tyga. Recent work includes te reo Māori single ‘Te Kore’ and the album Māui and The Sin.
