Emily Looker is a self-managed artist for the duo ‘Aro’, made up of husband Charles Looker and herself, as well as her solo project ‘Emily Rice’.
Emily is passionate about both the creative side of music and the behind the scenes mahi that goes into booking gigs, tours and planning out releases.
Looker has booked 3 nationwide tours for Aro, with a 4th in the brew, playing to their growing audience at carefully selected venues around the country. Aro have released a few bodies of work since establishing in 2017, and have been recognised for their music as finalists at the 2019 and 2020 Silver Scrolls (Maioha and Best Children's Song finalists). Emily has been playing shows and touring under her solo project since 2011 with a few several releases, and a couple of nationwide tours - one in Aotearoa, one in Germany.
