Paloma Schneideman aka PollyHill

PollyHill.jpg

PollyHill exists at an intersection of the arts — filmmaker, music producer, and MC. Self-taught, her sound transcends traditional boom-bap hip hop, incorporating intricate otherworldly soundscapes in conjunction with her signature sharp tongued lyricism. Since jumping on the Auckland underground scene in 2019, PollyHill has opened for NYC legend Wiki, award winners Church and AP as well as headlined gigs alongside artists such as JessB, Half Queen and Imugi 이무기, performing in high profile shows such as Laneway Festival (with Filth AKL) Rhythm and Vines, Twisted Frequency, Sound Splash, Outfield Festival, and Splore. Her recent single Sweepstake has topped student radio charts and she's gearing up for her sophomore EP release this June.

She also composes and scores dance and film, in 2020 winning the Best Sound Design award at Auckland Fringe Festival. Sonically, she has scored for artists Jahra Wasasala, Sofia Mcintyre, Footnote Dance Company and the Pantograph Punch.
